Responsibilities

• Legal Strategy: Develop and implement the organization's legal strategy, aligning it with the company's overall objectives.
• Legal Department Oversight: Lead the legal department's day-to-day operations, including managing legal professionals, workload distribution, and resource allocation.
• Contract Management: Review, negotiate, and draft a wide range of contracts and agreements, ensuring they align with legal standards and company policies.
• Legal Compliance: Ensure the organization's compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, and provide guidance on regulatory matters.
• Litigation Management: Manage and oversee legal disputes and litigation, including working closely with external counsel, as needed.
• Corporate Governance: Support corporate governance activities, including board meetings, corporate filings, and shareholder communications.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate legal risk

Ideal Candidate

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.(prefer)
• Minimum of 6 years of legal experience, including experience in a leadership role within a legal department or law firm.
• Strong understanding of corporate and business law, contract law, regulatory compliance, and litigation management.
• Proven track record of successfully handling complex legal matters and negotiations.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to convey legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a commitment to developing and mentoring legal professionals.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Professionalism, ethics, and integrity are paramount.
